Down the stream...

I love how much Jack enjoys singing. In fact, one of my favorite things to do with this little man is sing. Most songs we sing are classics - Five Little Spotted Frogs, Five Little Ducks, Five Little Monkeys.. OK, more than classics they tend to be songs about five little animals.. but there are others - the alphabet song (aka ABCD), Down by the Bay, Rain Rain Go Away, etc., etc., etc., Today, however, Jack sang Row, Row, Roy Your Boat to me. See if you notice the slight change Jack's made to this well-known kids' song.

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy
Mommy's up the stream

Wait, what? Mommy's up the streat? So you're rowing away from Mommy, Jack? Do I have this right? Or did you row Mommy up the stream, leave her, now you're rowing down the stream? Or do you think Mommy is down the stream so you're rowing that way? Please, little man, can you explain this whole "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy's up the stream" thing.
